As we mentioned earlier, our game is simple penalty shootouts. We'll explain the matchmaking process, game rules, and ElectroBet fees in detail here.
After you deposit XLM into your account, head to the penalty shootout game page. You'll start by entering your bet amount.
Since it's unlikely to find a player who has bet the exact same amount, we also ask for a bet range. This range represents the variation from your bet amount that you're willing to bet on.
For example, if you bet 100 XLM and set a range of 20 XLM, your range would be from 80 XLM to 120 XLM.
We match you with players whose bet ranges intersect with yours. For instance, if another player bets 200 XLM with a range of 100 XLM, their bet range is from 100 XLM to 300 XLM. Your ranges will overlap between 100 XLM to 120 XLM.
ElectroBet will randomly choose a bet amount within the intersecting range. In this example, we could choose 113 XLM for both players. The final bet amount is then deducted from both players.
The winner will take the sum of both deducted amounts. If the bet amounts are 113 XLM from each player, the winner will take 226 XLM.
Make sure to adjust your bet range ! A wider range increases the chances of finding a match.
The rules of the game are simple. Players take turns being the shooter or keeper. You can only shoot or save in three directions: left, center, or right.
Each player has only 25 seconds per turn, making the game fast-paced. If both players confirm their move before the timer runs out, they move on to the next round.
Each player gets 5 shots to make.
In the event of a tie, one shot will be added for each player until one scores and the other misses.
If one player scores 3 shots while the other misses 3 shots, the game ends early. The player who scored will be declared the winner immediately.
ElectroBet charges a 4% fee on the amount of XLM won. For example, if the winner is supposed to take 226 XLM, ElectroBet will deduct the 4% fee, leaving the winner with 216.96 XLM.
The fee is applied only on the winnings, so you only pay when you win!
To get started with depositing and withdrawing XLM in ElectroBet, it's important to understand a few basic concepts. We'll break it down in simple terms.
XLM is the cryptocurrency used in ElectroBet. At the time of writing, 1 XLM equals around $0.1375. You need XLM in your account to bet and play in the game.
A wallet is like a digital storage for your XLM. It lets you send and receive XLM. Every wallet has two important parts: a private key and a public key/address. For now, let's focus on the public key.
Your public key is what you use to send and receive XLM. If someone wants to send you XLM, they'll need your public key. Likewise, to send XLM to someone else, you'll need their public key.
When you send XLM from one wallet to another, that's called a transaction.
You may be wondering, “How do I create an XLM wallet?” Don't worry, we'll recommend some wallets in the next section and show you how to set them up.
Another important concept is crypto exchanges. These are platforms where you can buy, sell, and trade cryptocurrencies using your credit card or bank account. When you buy XLM on an exchange, you'll get a public key to send and receive XLM. However, most exchange wallets won't work with ElectroBet, so you'll need to use a different wallet for deposits and withdrawals. We'll recommend exchanges and show you how to deposit/withdraw in the upcoming sections.
We recommend two wallets that support sending XLM to muxed addresses and offer a simple user interface. Muxed addresses are a special feature in Stellar, which we won't explain in detail here, but you can read more about them here.
Freighter is a Chrome extension wallet that lets you store, send, and receive XLM. Setting it up is simple, and their website has clear instructions.
LOBSTR is a web and mobile app with similar features to Freighter. It also lets you buy and sell XLM with a credit card (acting as a mini XLM exchange). However, LOBSTR may charge higher fees for buying XLM with credit cards or bank transfers, unlike larger exchanges with lower fees.
Once you've selected a recommended wallet, or any other wallet that supports sending XLM to muxed addresses, you'll be ready to deposit and withdraw funds.
Since LOBSTR has high fees for buying XLM and Freighter doesn't support buying with a credit card or bank account, we recommend some exchanges that offer XLM purchases with low fees.

KrakenCoinbaseKucoinBinanceAll of these exchanges are well-known and reliable, so you can pick the one you prefer. Keep in mind that setting up an account might take some time due to identity verification processes.
Now that you know what wallets and exchanges are, let’s talk about Stellar Blockchain fees. ElectroBet does not charge any fees for deposits or withdrawals. The only fees that apply are those from the Stellar Blockchain Network for the transaction itself.
Whenever you deposit or withdraw, a transaction must occur between two wallets, and Stellar’s fees are generally very low and almost negligible. This is one of the reasons we chose to build ElectroBet on top of the Stellar network.
Fees on Stellar are dynamic, but there is a minimum fee of 100 stroops per transaction, which is equivalent to 0.00001 XLM. Sometimes, higher fees are charged to prioritize certain transactions. For example, in January 2021, the average fee was 1,221 stroops (0.0001221 XLM), which was about $0.00004762 at that time. Over 50% of transactions paid the minimum fee of 100 stroops.
As you can see, it’s extremely cheap to send and receive XLM using Stellar. For more detailed information, you can visit the Stellar Website.
Now that you understand the basics from the previous sections, you should be able to follow our simple process for depositing XLM into your ElectroBet account. When you create an ElectroBet account, you will receive a unique muxed address (similar to a public key) that you can use to deposit XLM.
Here’s an easy step-by-step guide to deposit XLM into your ElectroBet account:
1. Set up one of the recommended wallets mentioned above.
2. Choose an exchange from the recommended list and follow their tutorial on buying crypto with your credit card or bank account.
3. Purchase the amount of XLM you want to deposit into ElectroBet.
4. Since ElectroBet uses a muxed address and some exchanges don’t support sending XLM to these addresses, you will first need to send your XLM from the exchange to your wallet’s public key (such as Freighter or LOBSTR, both of which support muxed addresses).
5. Once your wallet receives the XLM, send it to the muxed address provided by ElectroBet. You can find this address in the deposit section or your user profile.
6. If everything goes as planned, your ElectroBet balance will be updated with the XLM deposit.
Sometimes a deposit may not show up in your ElectroBet account due to various reasons. If that happens, follow the steps below to troubleshoot:
1. If you sent the XLM to the wrong address (one different from the one given to you), we cannot retrieve it. Double-check the address you are sending to and ensure your wallet supports muxed addresses.
2. If you’re confident that you sent the XLM to the correct address but it still hasn’t been credited to your ElectroBet account, check your wallet’s transaction history for the transaction hash/ID (a unique alphanumeric code). Wallets like Freighter and LOBSTR will usually redirect you to Stellar Expert where you can view the full transaction details.
3. Once you’ve located the transaction hash, head over to Stellar Laboratory and paste it into the input field. After submitting, look for the id value in the JSON Response.
4. Once you have that id, go to ElectroBet’s deposit page and enter it to verify the deposit manually. If this doesn’t work, please contact us for assistance.
Please note that manual verification may take up to 1–2 days.
If you’ve already grasped how deposits work, withdrawals will be just as easy. While deposits involve sending XLM to your ElectroBet account, withdrawals are the reverse — sending XLM from your ElectroBet balance to your personal XLM wallet. You can take it a step further by transferring your funds from your wallet to an exchange to cash out. We recommend withdrawing your XLM and cashing out after every few games as a security measure and to reduce the risk of market volatility.
1. Go to the Withdraw section in ElectroBet and enter the public key of your personal XLM wallet (we recommend Freighter or LOBSTR). Do not use a public key from an exchange wallet , as these often require a memo to receive funds — which we currently do not support. If you enter only the public key without the required memo, your XLM could be lost and very difficult to recover. Instead, first transfer to a personal wallet (Freighter or LOBSTR), then send to the exchange from there.2. Once you’ve submitted the withdrawal, your XLM should arrive in your personal wallet.3. If you wish to cash out and are using Freighter, you can send your XLM to an exchange of your choice. Visit the exchange’s deposit page to get the required public key and memo. These details are necessary for the transfer. If you’re using LOBSTR, you can also cash out directly from the wallet, but note that fees may be higher — we recommend using an exchange for better rates.4. Once your XLM arrives at the exchange, follow their guide to withdraw to your credit card or bank account. If anything goes wrong, don’t hesitate to contact us for help.
